Are you ready to go?

Matt. 9:38 – Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Discovering who Christ is in you and who you are in Christ as you allow Him to prepare you in His process while following through with obedience to His will is really what you need to be ready to go. Through knowing, and the preparation, and the obedience will get you to the right place at the right time speaking with the right people as you are doing the right thing in fulfilling your destiny and making an impact in this world for Christ. God is looking for leaders to rise up and go into this harvest field that’s so ripe and ready. People are hungry and open for the Gospel, they’re ready! The signs are so clear that God is challenging us in this time to see the opportunity and seize the moment of destiny. Somebody once said, “The opportunity of a lifetime is only as good as the lifetime of the opportunity.” God opens the door but it’s up to us to walk through it before it closes.

So what would help in this challenge that God is giving us to GO………

1)      Sensing the Call of God upon your life like never before.

Firstly, we need to understand that God has placed a calling upon each one of us and given us a specific person to become and a specific work to do. The call of God must become a part of your life in such a way that it’s just who you are and what you do. Fulfilling the call becomes a strong conviction that you cannot get away from and surely not be disobedient to. There’s such a heavy conviction of it, that fulfilling it becomes the very food you eat to live just as Jesus spoke these words, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work.” (John 4:34) So, the question is, “Do I really want to starve myself from God’s beautiful plan for my life or am I going to trust God and live by faith in this journey of destiny?” So, in other words, If I ain’t living out God’s calling in my life, in reality I’m really not even living at all! Pastor Steve Pineda would always say, “Ministry, if you can take it or leave it, it’s better that you leave it.” Meaning, if there’s an option to leave it, then you will. (I’ll discuss this in point 3 more.)

2)      Having a Laser focus.

There are so many options, opportunities, things, and even people that can bring such distractions in our life and get us off trach from fulfilling our calling. Paul the Apostle said, “This one thing I do.” (Phil. 3:13) So Paul understood the importance of zeroing in on his target which was to accomplish what God saved him for. There will be lots of GOOD opportunities in this life, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are GOD opportunities. Don’t get distracted! As we read about his life we see that he had a laser focus and not just a spread out, hit and miss type of life and decisions. This reminds me of the difference between a flashlight and a laser. Both produce light and are types of light, but flashlights are wide spread out particles of light that doesn’t go too far. It shines bright for a moment but doesn’t last too far past the starting point. On the other hand, a laser is a concentrated beam of light particles that can reach lengths far beyond its starting point, actually even lengths to the moon and back, because of it’s focus and concentration. Never underestimate the power of focus, it will help you know who you are and who you are not, also with knowing what to do and what not to do in accomplishing God’s calling upon your life.

3)      Willing to stay committed to the end.

Commitment is the determining factor of us truly making an impact and finishing strong. There are so many that start exceptionally well but through the corridors of time whether it be the demands of life, marriage, ministry or the hardships of this walk of faith or the opposition along the way that detours people and weakens their faith to continue to trust God and stay committed to finish strong. It takes a certain type of attitude and determination to be committed. Knowing that God is with you and all doors and options other than the call of God upon your life cannot be even a hint of a possibly to walk through, because the moment we do our commitment will fade away as the dust blows in the wind. You will never really know how committed you are until you get tested with the trials and fires of life and have the choice of shrinking away and allowing the obstacles to cause you to dwindle down in your endurance to the point of not finishing strong. Again, Paul said, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 3:14) “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)

I want you to declare, “2018 is going to be a great year!”

This is the year that you can see the greatness of God in and through your life as you get ready to go into all this world and fulfill the call of God to leave the mark of Christ everywhere you go.

The laborers might be few, but I believe that the laborers are you!
